Welcome

Welcome to the South African Jewish Museum’s digital archive. Here you will find an online collection that captures the rich history of South African Jewry. Thousands of photographs, films, voice recordings, videos and documents have been gathered from Jewish families around southern Africa and the world. We’ve made our collection easily accessible to everyone and we invite you to collaborate with us by contributing your own family history to our archive. In this way you will ensure that your descendants are able to trace their roots and know their family history.
