Photograph of Wireless Operator Jack Eliason (1913-1944) P.A.G. He was killed in Viterbo, Italy on the 10th June 1944. He was the son of Mr Morris and Mrs H. Eliason of Humewood, Port Elizabeth. He died on the 10 June 1944 of wounds received when his tank was hit by anti-tank fire during the advance, north of Viterbo. Other survivors of the action were captured briefly by the Germans but he was left behind. He is buried in the Bolsena War Cemetery, Italy.
