Scope and content

The Elsie (Elsa) Menasce (nee Mizrahi) Collection consists of family photographs taken mostly in Cape Town, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), France, and the Menasce ancestral home of the Island of Rhodes, where only 151 Sephardic Jews were known to have survived the Holocaust. La Boutique Yvelle makes an appearance several times, and several photographs of the family at their Shabbat dinner and bar mitzvah ceremonies.
