Scope and content
Letter from Mrs Finkelstein to Arnold Finkelstein. Letter about their saying goodbye. Arnold's father kept waving his pipe as the boat left the dock. The father and mother got sopping wet from the waves. Daddy was upset because Arnold did not take his Talis with to London. The parents will post it to Arnold as soon as he is ready and settled. The parents posted the Argus, Cape Times and Tailor & Cutter to Arnold. There is an article about Arnold in the Cape Times, and apparently the heading is silly and could have been put better. Arnold is reminded to please take his Scotts Emulsion as he cannot afford to catch a cold. Victor and Gerald visited Mr and Mrs Finkelstein. Victor had written a letter to Arnold of 15 pages. Victor also shares the sad news Corinne Urdang's father died of a heart attack. Mrs Finkelstein shares what they did at the races. Kathleen told Mrs Finkelstein everyone can guess Arnold went away because Mrs Finkelstein's hair is in a terrible a mess.
