He and his wife died 3 days apart of the Spanish Flu and are buried besides one another in the Britstown Cemetery. The two graves are joined with the epitaph " LOVING & PLEASANT IN THEIR LIVES & IN THEIR DEATH NOT DIVIDED".

He was survived by his wife Rebecca Price (nee Goldstein) and 4 minor sons, David aged 7, Bernard aged 6 , Jack aged 5 and Norman aged 3. His brother Samuel Price also died during the Spanish Flu epidemic. Both brothers are buried in the Stead Street Cemetery, Kimberley. Source: South African Archives.
