A shipping document of the passenger list of the steamship, Lismore Castle documenting the passengers Blieden - Julius (Judel) and Pesach Jacob (Peisach) Blieden. The document is in German. The ship sailed from Hamburg Germany via Vlissingen, the Netherlands to South Africa on the 5th December 1891.

Handwritten letter to the Central Judicial Commissioner - Foreign Claims which was written after the Anglo Boer War by Pesach Jacob Blieden. It confirmed that he was born in 1877 and left Russia in November in 1891. It was dated May, 1903.

Blieden Family, "Police confirmation of the Death of Julius Blieden"

The police confirmation of the death of Julius (Yehuda) Blieden of Johannesburg, in Berlin, Germany, 1904. He was a grain and produce merchant. His business was J Blieden And Co., Randfontein, district of Krugersdorp. In 1904 he was injured in a cart accident and sustained a severe head injury. He was advised to travel to Berlin, Germany for surgery. He was accompanied by his wife and underwent surgery at the Jewish Hospital. He died in Berlin on the 31st July 1904, aged 52 years and was buried 2 days later on the 2nd August in the Weissensee Cemetery in East Berlin.

Blieden Family, "Regarding a Tombstone"

Typed letter from Philip Lasker of New York to Mrs L. Meyer regarding the erection of a tombstone for the grave of his brother, Adolph Latzky (1872-1929) in Port Elizabeth. Philip Lasker and Adolph Latzky were the sons of Mordkhel and Feiga Latzky (nee Blieden) and were first cousins of Fanny Meyer (nee Blieden). Their mother and Fanny's father were siblings.

Handwritten documentation of the registration of Zundel Blieden's family in Staro-Shagaren, Lithuania (Žagarė, Lithuania), 1848. Zundel Blieden (1814-c1882) was a grain merchant. He married Nese Saganowsky (1814 – c1887) and they had nine children, 5 sons and 4 daughters. Their children were Benjamin Blieden (1834 – 1890), Jacob (Yankel) Blieden (1835-1912), Abraham Blieden (1843 – 1939), Feige Latzky (nee Blieden) (1843 -1919), Sheine (Jennie) Tort (nee Blieden) (1844-1930), Yehuda (Julius) Blieden (1851- 1904), Marcus (Mordechai) Blieden (1852-1913), Freida Wolfson (nee Blieden) (1855-1923) and Jacha Blieden. This document lists Zundel, his wife Nese, sons Benjamin, Yankel, Abraham and daughters Feige and Sheine. It also lists Zundel's brothers Ber, Grisha and Leiba and his sister-in- law Leah, wife of Leiba.
