Siauliai Lithuania, "Jewish Girl Guides group"

Photograph of the local Jewish Girl Guides Group. The photograph includes eleven young women in Girl Guide uniforms, ranging from teenagers to young adults. The photograph includes one named member: Ethel Hoffman is in the back row on the far right of the photograph. Ethel Hoffman was originally thought to be from Pakruojis, but had a cousin in Siauliai, thus explaining the likely migration of the family or at least Ethel to this town, and subsequent joining of local community organisations such as this one. Ethel Hoffman was the daughter of Bentzion Naftali Hoffman and Sara Kraindeh Hoffman. Ethel had eight siblings, named here in no particular order: Solly, Becky, Chaim Issac (Yitchak), Abraham Joseph (Yaakov), Johnny (Yonah), Chana Rochel, Raizel Zisia, and Eliezer Hoffman.
