The South African Jewish Museum's archives (SAJM) Jewish Digital Archive Project is the digital component of the SAJM archive. It aims to maintain a record of Southern Africa's social, economic and political history. JDAP comprises personal narratives and special collections linked to organizations, local communities, and cultural events.
Speech cue card 1: welcome introduction, and indicating the numbers present all care about South Africa and want to alleviate the problems of apartheid.
Speech cue card 4: Jill Rosenfield again involved herself in the community in order to formulate a response as a Jew to apartheid. Jews for Justice was the first organisation of its kind in South Africa, dealing specifically with issues of injustice.
Speech cue card 5: The formulation of a seperate organisation meant issues could be dealt with as adequately as possible, without having to neglect other projects undertaken by the Jewish community. Jill Rosenfield was very enthusiastic when she heard of the Youth Forum at the Albow Centre.
Speech cue card 6: At the Youth Forum at Albow Centre, they discussed the need for a Jewish response and future action. The following week they met and constituted the organisation Jews for Justice. A voluntary steering committee was established, comprised of members of two generations.
Speech cue card 7: Jews for Justice defied the generation gap. Jews were brought together with 2 things in common. Firstly, they were all Jews. Secondly, they desired to express their opposition to apartheid and its manifestations of oppression and violence.

Jews For Justice was a new channel for Jews to draw back into the community those Jews who were forced to look elsewhere for their political involvement and then left the fold.
Speech cue card 9: Jews for Justice did not purport to represent the whole Jewish community. It was a channel for for those Jews who also felt the need to speak out on Jews. Jews for Justice amied to promote a greater awareness through discussion, debate and flow of information.
