Photograph of Warrant Officer Class II Harland Trevor Benn (1925-1945), S.A.A.F. 34 Squadron. Benn was killed in action. Eight crew members disappeared without trace while on a bombing raid on the marshalling yards at Porta Vescovo, in Verona East, in a Liberator B24J Mk VI #EW207. His presumed grave is stated as "Lake Comacchio". He is commemorated at the Malta Memorial, Malta. He was the son of Max and Sadie Benn of Port Elizabeth, Cape Province, South Africa.
