Lithuanian postcards, "Friedland Finkelshtein wedding invitation"

Photograph of the wedding invitation of Cherna Finkelshtein (1882-1968) and Izrael Friedland (1875-1917) which was held on the 25th March 1905 in Kaunas, Lithuania. The invitation is written in Russian with the Cyrillic script. The marriage was held on the 24th March 1905 corresponding to the 1st Nissan 5665. Izrael Khaim Friedland was the son of Leizer Friedland of Vilkija, Lithuania and was 30 years old. Cherna Finkelshtein was the daughter of Leizer Finkelshtein of Yurburg, Lithuania and was 23 years old. Their witnesses were Khaim Kivel Ryznik and Naftel Perelman. The Friedlands had 4 children. Twin daughters were born in 1907 in Kaunas. The twin, Basha Peshel Friedland died in 1910 at the age of 3 years in Kaunas, Lithuania. The other twin was Hannah Leah Amoils (nee Friedland) and there were two sons, MIchael Friedland and Hillel Friedland. The Friedland family emigrated to South Africa.
