Photograph of Leo Schamroth at the grave of his paternal grandmother Sara Lea Schamroth (nee Leichtag) (1851 -1923). She was the daughter of Moses Leib Leichtag and Malka Leichtag (nee Dembitzer) and the wife of Samuel Schamroth. The family lived in Cracow, Austria until 1909. They left Poland and joined most of their children in Antwerp, Belgium. She died in 1923 and is buried in Machsike Hadass Chevra Kadisha Cemetery, Putte, Holland, Netherlands. She and her family were registered with the Antwerp City Police as foreign nationals residing in the city. Her police dossier number was 129999.

Photograph of Leo Schamroth next to the grave of his paternal aunt, Erna (Esther) Ehrman (nee Schamroth) (1889- 1929). She was born in Cracow, Austria and joined her twin brother Elias Schamroth in Antwerp, Belgium in 1909. She trained as a diamond cutter (diamant snydster). She married Samuel Pinkas Ehrman in August 1921 in Antwerp. She died in 1929 following childbirth. She was survived by her husband and two sons, Jack (Jaques) and Maurice Ehrman. She is buried in Machsike Hadass Chevra Kadisha Cemetery, Putte, Holland, Netherlands. She and her family were registered with the Antwerp City Police as foreign nationals residing in the city. Her police dossier numbers were 129999 and 160854.
