Photograph of the death notice of Tilly Blumberg (nee Joffe) (1888-1918) of 4 Gladstone Street, Cape Town who died from the Spanish Influenza a day following the birth of her third child. She was born in Talsen Russia and was the daughter of Gerson and Reisa Joffe. She was survived by her husband Hermann Blumberg and three children Gordon aged 11 years, Mark /Max 6 years and Theodore aged 1 day. She is buried in the 7th Ave cemetery, Maitland, Cape Town.
